Gym Day… Chest, Back, Abs!

Extremely busy day today and been packing all night.  Leaving early in the morning for a trip tomorrow.  But I did manage to take a drive over to Gold’s Gym NoHo and get one more workout in.  I pushed heavy chest and back today and rocked a few sets of abs too.  It was a nice way to clear my mind after the day and prepare for our trip.  I WILL be working out while out of town… I just don’t know exactly what and where yet.  I did pack our exercise bands, so in case I can’t get to a gym, I will have the ability to still keep it going.  I don’t think I’ll be able to blog much while gone, so just in case, I’m gonna add one more here tonight and then wrap it up.  I wish you all a great week and a fantastic Labor Day Weekend.

This weekend was a busy one.  Yesterday we shot a wedding down in San Diego.  We drove in, worked all day and into the night, and then drove back.  I have been pushing my body hard lately with workouts and such, and after yesterday, I was done.  I woke up this morning feeling like a truck ran me over and felt quite out of it for most of the day.  But… there still remained much to do, so I had to pull it together.  I chose the X Stretch today.  That’s all I could do and probably the best thing for my body.  Especially since immediately upon completing this workout, I had to run out the door to band rehearsal which clocked in an additional 2 hours of moving and grooving.  Now I’m getting stuff done and getting ready for a big week ahead.  I hope you had a great weekend and I wish you a beautiful night.

Got to Gold’s Gym Hollywood this morning for an explosive Shoulders, Triceps, and Abs workout.  Once again, pushed it heavy and felt great.  Then went on to several appointments.  It’s been a busy and exhausting, but most beautiful week thus far.  And these next few days aren’t gonna let up either.  So I’m gonna cut it here, finally grab my shower, and relax for a bit before bed.  Nite nite.

Gym Day! Legs and Biceps!

I had a fitting this morning in Hollywood for a certain show I am working on tomorrow… but cannot tell you about yet.  After that, I cruised straight over to Gold’s Gym Hollywood for…

After a nice warmup on the treadmill and some stretching, I put on the ipod and headed into the weight room.  I again went for heavy weights today.  My legs felt strong as I pushed more weight than ever before on some of the exercises.  I have seen vast strength improvements in my legs as of late.  There may still be a chance for these chicken legs yet! lol.  I attempted as heavy as I could with my biceps as well.  But my strength is still not where I want it to be there.  If I had to break it down by body part, I would say that my biceps need the most improvement.  There could be other reasons at play, such as my tendons which tend to flare up from time to time.  So, I did what I could today and kept pushing myself even though it was quite challenging.  I added a few sets of abs throughout and finished strong.  A solid workout and done early in the day.  Been busy ever since and now getting everything together for my shoot tomorrow.  Have a great night!

Gym Day! Chest and Back!

I finally caught up on a little sleep this morning after staying up late again editing video.  I could still use more… but I did feel refreshed.  After my power protein shake, I jumped up and headed out the door.  Destination… Gold’s Gym NoHo!

I took a nice 10 minute stroll on the treadmill to warm up.  I would have jumped off sooner, but my Chicago Bears were laying a hurt on the Washington Redskins in a preseason game, so I had to watch a little more. 🙂

After that I stretched out and than hit it hard!  I alternated between 3 sets of chest and 3 sets of back and threw in a set of abs in between when I switched.  I again went heavier than I have in a long time… actually heavier than ever on a few exercises.  It felt awesome!  I felt like beast… strong and energized.  I wanted to go even heavier, but without a spotter, I held back to not risk injury.  I’ll have to find some more workout buddies if I wanna keep this up.

I powered through and completed chest, back, and abs and then off I went.  I’m working on the new TV show “How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life” tomorrow and have a 7am call time.  So I’m glad I was able to complete my workout and get back.  I’m gonna clean up and pack my stuff now so that I can have a nice productive evening and hopefully get to bed early.  It’s gonna be a long day tomorrow, so I will probably make it a rest day… but ya never know. 😉
