P90X – Chest and Back
P90X – Ab Ripper X
Total time = 74 minutes
Well that didn’t take long did it now. Haha. I decided to start the P90X program over from the beginning. Having completed the program once, I wasn’t sure what my next step would be. Hell, I just did day 90 only 2 days ago. I want to hit the gym a little, but I got too spoiled working out right from home. It has been saving me so much time, gas money, etc. I can just roll out of bed, have a little something to eat, and get right to it. While I successfully completed the P90X program once, I feel that I haven’t quite mastered the program. There are certain areas where I still have some troubles and room to grow. In my opinion, there is no reason to move on to the next level until I have mastered this level. Also, Mary said that she would get back on track with me if I started from the beginning, and so it was a no-brainer. We both hit it HARD this morning. Back to day 1… chest, back, and abs. You would think it would get a little easier. Not so much. Actually, I found ways to make it harder and more intense. During the pushups, I was going to failure every time. I mean failure to the point that I was face planting at the end with nothing left in the tank to even push myself back up. Same goes for the pull-ups and chin-ups. And Ab Ripper X is STILL a beast! When is that gonna get easier?! lol.
I feel that my first round of P90X was a great experience. And it coincided with my new commitment to an all plant-based diet. My body has been changing, adjusting, and detoxing. I have lost a little bit of weight and muscle, but I have also leaned out. And that is ok, because my body needed to rid itself of the toxins and adapt to my new way of eating and my new way of working out. As I’ve stated before, I didn’t really notice any major physical appearance changes until the last 30 days of the program. Now that I am in my groove and locked and loaded, I expect to make huge gains in all areas. I’m stoked and I feel great! P90X round 2… here we go! Have an amazing day friends!
